It was us. The award was presented for the video intercom apartment market by the Director of AVC Network, Mr Minami — in the same year Panasonic Malaysia upgraded Occhio Tec to Authorised Strategic Partner for ELV works. The intercom is the system a resident touches every day, and the first one a committee hears about when it stops working.

Occhio Tec takes on and maintains systems another contractor installed. What a building actually has, and what condition it is in, is what a scope and a price have to be built from.

Every building we secure is drawn as a single section — because that is how the systems actually behave. Each layer below depends on the one beside it, and all of them terminate in the same comms room, on the same drawings, under the same accountable party.

    Rooftop & perimeter CCTV

    Cameras at the parapet, the mast and the ground line. Sightlines are what decide where a bracket goes — a camera positioned without them watches an approach it was never aimed at.

  2. LAYER 02→ ELV-02

    Floor-by-floor access control

    A controlled door and reader at every level. Movement between floors becomes a record, not a rumour — each pass logged against a credential, a door and a time.

  3. LAYER 03→ ELV-03

    Lobby intercom & riser

    The entrance panel speaks to every unit through a dedicated riser. A caller is answered — and vetted — from the unit before the lobby door ever releases.

  4. LAYER 04→ ELV-04

    Security control room

    Every layer terminates here: recorders, controllers and the network core in one secured room. One place to protect. One place to service.

  5. LAYER 05→ ELV-05

    Structured cabling spine

    The quiet layer that carries all the others — a documented backbone rising the full height of the core, branching to every floor. Installed once, labelled properly, serviceable for the life of the building.

The story behind Occhio Tec

Occhio Tec Sdn Bhd was established in 2010, initially as Occhio Technology — a sole proprietor business undertaking the design and installation of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems for residential and commercial sectors.

From that beginning the company grew into an electrical low voltage contracting firm specialising in the building and maintenance of security systems and networking for high-rise condominiums and commercial warehouses.

Through continuous upgrading of technical skills, innovative construction methods and a safe working environment, we are working to be the ELV contractor more Kuala Lumpur buildings choose and keep.
